4HB Stories Edition 3: Videos, Bootcamps, and my Guest Post

Sort of slim pickin’s this week, but thanks to the couple of you who submitted me articles! For the rest of you: we do this every month, so think about it now for next time!

On to the articles…

5 Slow-carb cooking videos

If you’ve been around for a little while, you might have read some bits of the Four Hour Couple blog. They’re running a contest that involves an 8 week coaching session for other couples doing 4HB (too bad I couldn’t convince my wife to do it with me…we’d have rocked it!).

This week they have some cooking videos to share. The participants of the challenge talk about some of their favorite recipes and preparations, and give us some visual how-to to help us on our creative ways.

You can check out the Four Hour Body Couple Couple’s Challenge page on Facebook to see videos from previous weeks.

Sometimes you just gotta kick your own butt

I’ve mentioned before that occasionally you hit a wall and you just have to get back to basics. I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who feels that way.

At the end of may, futureskinnychick (love the optimism!) decided she needed a kick in her pants, so she took herself through a 4HB bootcamp. She wrote about it every day, so give the series a read to see how she did it. The coolest part for me is that she learned stuff she wouldn’t have otherwise if she wasn’t so focused on her goals. It’s a great writeup with lots of lessons for us all.

She called me a 4HB stud!

Finally, since it’s my blog and I can, I’m going to pimp one of my own articles. The difference this time is that it’s not on my blog!

Kirsten, aka Results Not Typical Girl, recently started 4HB with Husband2.0. Together, they’re taking place in the FHBC Couple’s Challenge (see the first link), so she had been asking around for some 4HB articles to gust post. I was happy to oblige!

I figured most of her readers didn’t know what 4HB was but have been or are currently on some sort of diet. I took the opportunity to address the reasons why 4HB is better than all of the popular diets! Please take a look and say hi to Kirsten when you’re there!

Next edition: July 2, 2011

I’ll be out of town that weekend, but if you get me your articles soon enough before that, that won’t be an issue! The deadline will have to be Thursday, June 30 in the AFTERNOON. I’m leaving that Friday morning and won’t have internet access, so I want to get the post scheduled on Thursday night.

Enjoy your weekends! I want to hear all about your cheat day exploits. I’ve got donuts, blueberry pie, cheese, and mashed potatoes waiting for me. ;)
