Slow Carb Fast: Buffalo Wild Wings

Chicken wings are one of those things that you really, really wish were slow-carb but kinda really aren’t. The problem, though, lies in the batter and sauce, not the wing itself.

If you look hard enough, you’ll find some places to eat wings that will keep you on plan and still allow you not to be that guy.

Last week at work the whole crew wanted to go to Buffalo Wild Wings, and I hesitated. I thought about it for a night and then decided I’ll check out the menu to see what they have. It was hard to come up with their nutritional content, but eventually I found it.

The bad news is there really isn’t a whole lot for us to eat there (check their numbers…it’s horrendous!).

The great news is that there is enough that you won’t go hungry!

Slow-Carb Fast: Red Robin Rocks!

When you go to Red Robin, are you blinded by the steak fries?

While I decided on the way there that Red Robin should be involved in my next cheat day, @mattsullivan and I went to explore their slow-carb options. Here’s what we found.

You have to go prepared
One of the favorite places my coworkers have for lunch is one of the worst places to eat a non-fattening diet, or so I thought. Part of the game is going in prepared. You can check their menu before you go, but today I’ve got two delicious dishes with their modifications you can fall back on as necessary.

Slow-Carb Fast: Chick-Fil-A

You may have seen ads on TV asking you to “Eat Mor Chikin” or something along those lines. Stupid cows…don’t know how to spell!

Anyway, chicken is a really good-for-you food, so Chick-Fil-A stands out already. The problem with it is that most of the delicious stuff there is battered and fried or in a biscuit. Cheat day tangent: get yourself a CFA biscuit and thank me later.
