Cotton Candy and Funnel Cakes!

Next carnival: Saturday, August 6 2011.

Submit your 4HB-related articles to me by the afternoon on June 30th.

I love the sounds of a calliope and laughter and the smells of cotton candy and funnel cakes, don’t you? It reminds me of simpler times when I could eat that crap and not feel fat.

It’s a good thing the internet is both fat and carb free.

I was looking for some blog carnivals to submit to, and I couldn’t find any about 4HB. At least not at BlogCarnival.com. So I did what any self-respecting blogger would do: I stopped looking.

Then I realized that was just silly. If there isn’t one, who said I can’t make one?

What is a blog carnival?

Carnivals are basically link roundup parties. Fellow bloggers on a topic submit articles to a “carnival”, and when the deadline passes the links are posted. It’s one huge link love session.

There were plenty of carnivals about health and fitness, but I wanted to narrow the focus even more. So I created the 4HB Stories Blog Carnival.

How do I join?

The first thing to do is publish on your blog a sweet 4HB article. If you already have one, you’re ahead of the game.

Then you send me the link. You can go to the page for this particular carnival and submit a link to me. Make sure the Carnival dropdown is on “4hb stories”. Another option is to use our contact form. Send me the link to your post with any description you’d like to add.

Once the carnival goes live, please provide a link on your blog to the carnival post I publish here. I’ll make sure to send the link to you all. One way to link might be to update the article you submit with something like “This post has been featured at the 4HB Stories Carnival”, and link that to the post here.

When’s my deadline?

Midnight on the Friday night before the carnival. Each new edition will come out on the first Saturday of the month.

The more the merrier!

If you know of other 4HB bloggers who have some great articles, please pass this post along to them to invite them to the carnival. It would be awesome to begin seeing 20 and 30 articles coming in for every carnival.

Thank you for your contributions! Feel free to tweet this one. 😉
