How Mike Stenger Skins His Cat

This is part 2 in a case study on a few formerly (amen) big dudes who started the slow-carb diet as prescribed in The 4-Hour Body.

Have you been checking out the various #4hb tweets that show up? If so, you’ve probably seen this next guy. He’s probably even answered a question or two for you.

You can’t miss him; he’s got this enormous fuzzy pink hat with him wherever he goes.

Today I want to present to you Mr. Mike Stenger:

1. What’s your main focus as you implement the different things you’ve read in The 4 Hour Body?

My main focus is to lose fat and put on some muscle. Don’t wanna be ripped or anything like that. Just at a better level.

2. What’s your biggest challenge in keeping the level of discipline you’d like to keep?

The biggest challenge is keeping from eating food I shouldn’t. I hardly do, but there’s just so much temptation out and about. Society is geared to eating junk and it’s extremely accessible (and affordable).

3. What do you do when you start to lose motivation?

I look at before photos and remind myself how much time I’ve invested. Also, it’s very motivating seeing others post their results and getting encouragement from others helps as well.

4. What’s your biggest tip to students of 4HB?

My biggest tip is to make sure and have the right mentality when looking at the diet. If you focus on the bad and let yourself spiral, everything will go downhill. You’ll have bad days, but you’ll also have plenty of good days if you focus on the positive side of things.
