May Challenge Is Over: Did You Win?

Just a quick post today. I’m working on a bigger one, which will be my last one for a while, but I’ll get to that in a bit.

Reminder: If you participated in the May challenge, you’ve got until Tuesday to post your results to the forum. If you can’t remember how to get there, please send me a quick email and I’ll help you out.

Next Wednesday (the 6th) I’ll announce the winner!

Blog update

I know the May Challenge helped out a few people. It didn’t, however, get me to the goal I needed to keep blogging.

Before you get all sad, don’t worry – I’m not going to shut it down. But I’m not going to be posting for a while. I’ll keep the archives open, and I’ll probably add a recipe or two here and there (I’ve got a pile of them from my CSA that I want to share with you). I’m going to create a video that will be the main page of the site while I’m working on me. When I come back, FMF will be better than ever.

I just need to get rid of the stress of blogging. It’s super fun, and I love interacting with you. But it’s stressful, and with a baby coming in September I need to get control of my weight now. It’ll only get harder later. Hopefully I’ll be back by September, but you can rest assured that I’ll be back, with results and new things to go along with it!

So stay tuned next week for the last post for a while as well as the winner announcement of the May Challenge! Remember to post your results if you participated!

  1. Hey Jason,

It is good to take a break from time to time. You have created a lot of wonderful content here and it will be here waiting when you come back in September. I want to wish you luck in finding your fitness, I have the utmost confidence that you will reach your goals. (as I am writing this my son just walked down from bed for a little hold time).

Finding balance in life is the most important thing we can do, I know for myself the last year that has been the main focus, but writing and pursuing what you love will come second nature as you become a dad, and having a creative outlet makes it that much better. Thanks for all the tweets and support!
